Job Description

This is a junior level position in application/system engineering. Responsibilities include assistant research in new switching power technology, system power architecture, digital, analog, mixed signal IC products, technical support and training for US customers.

Job Functions

• Research for new generations of ACDC switching power technology
• Study and deep understanding of system power architecture across multi-platforms
• Work with design engineers, field applications team, and marketing to verify and develop new features for AC/DC ICs.
• Provide technical support and training for US customers
• Develop application reference circuits and system level power management solutions for AC/DC products
• Write articles, application notes, and other documentations.

Qualifications

• Open minded, rigorous, innovative.
• Strong system level knowledge in AC/DC converters.
• Rich hardware and bench experience in high voltage power supply development.
• Familiar with system level simulation and analysis with SIMPLIS and MathCAD.
• Good to have programming and digital control skill in power converters.
• Good understanding of power devices, ICs, and magnetic components.
• Fluent communication skills in English.
• Excellent writing and presentation skills.
• Self-motivated.
• Previous experience in a power supply manufacturer or power management IC company preferred
• MSEE, majored in power electronics

Pay is based on market location and may vary based on factors including experience, skills, education and other job-related reasons. The base salary range for this position in California is $115,000 - $140,000.
