Job Overview:

Centre of Excellence (CoE) is part of Team/Digital Power-LoB.

The team is in charge of two main activities :

  • Advance Application : Expertise, Validation, Support for Project execution
  • Security Patch Management

The position is a real share part between the two activities

Location based at Gurgaon in India and reporting to the Global Team Leader in Digital Power

For Advance Application, the person will be focusing on Understanding of substation architecture, topologies, and computer networking.

For Security patch management the position embeds build of customer specific platforms and responsible for providing patch related support to meet the patch governance requirements in IEC62443.

Key primary responsibilities will be as described as.

Advance Applications:

  • Software validation and Integration.
    • Design of test plan in lieu of system specification.
    • Database preparation to meet up the test environment
    • System Set up per test environment.
  • Mainly focus on Power management solution (such as Load Shedding and Generator Management
  • Will going to deal with security patch management process for Cyber security perimeters.
  • Preparation of test report, Bug submission and their tracking.
  • Will Support to different stakeholder Tendering team /Project Manager / Commissioning Engineer etc.
  • Will work on issue reported from site in Test Lab.
  • Allied with these expectations, you will guide customers and solutions teams in suitable architectures and appropriate product applications to suit our offer, taking full ownership of all technical matters of the project.

Cyber Security Patch Management:

  • Support Security Patch Management (SPM) projects to onboard new and existing customer's patch requirements.
  • Develop customer specific OT environment in lab, build platform based on project architectures, functionality, network infrastructure, protection concepts etc.
  • Work closely together with DPACs during the designing of project to meet the patch management contract.
  • Understanding on the Standard Operating systems and troubleshooting. Create and understand windows registry, group policy related task and providing technical support wherever possible
  • Performing software patch installation, other flaw remediation, antivirus software updates, and monitoring activities.
  • Work experience on WSUS, Group Policy, Windows PowerShell and implementing MS solution
  • Report anomaly and understand the new alert types resulting from the detection in the Lab network system to the management immediately
  • Categorization and prioritization of vulnerability remediation for execution and reporting
  • Prepares system security patch reports start from installing, testing, analyzing, and summarizing system behavior before and after patch deployment
  • Record testing steps or any workarounds/mitigations followed during patch testing and share the report with stakeholders within limited time frame.
  • Follow security best practices in the lab systems.

 

Key criteria to submit profile described as.

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering / Computer Engineering / Instrumentation Engineer or similar / University degree (or equivalent experience) in computer science, IT security.
  • Minimum 4 yrs. of experience in design of Complex control systems especially in Substation Automation systems.
  • In-depth expertise and understanding of commonly used industrial protocols like IEC61850, Modbus and DNP3, T101, T104, Modbus etc. Ability to debug any of the above protocols using network protocol analyzers.
  • Proven ability in handling complex IEC61131-3 programming languages; in particular SFC.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills in solving challenging technical problems.
  • Basic knowledge of electrical terms like Load shedding approach, Generation management logics, Start Inhibit etc.
  • Versatile user of Virtual Machines and experience in using various hypervisors available in the market. Familiar with window operating system and Linux operating system.
  • Ability to understand schematic drawings and system architecture.
  • Good knowledge on Computer Networking; IP Addresses, Ethernet Topology.
  • Good understanding of ISO/IEC 62443 requirements, cyber security landscapes,  related initiatives like MITRE ATT&CK and Vulnerability exploitability exchange (VXE) is a clear advantage.
  • Knowledge in industrial switches and firewall would be preferrable like Hirschman/ Fortinet/Nozomi.
  • Overall experience in security monitoring, investigating security events and vulnerabilities could be of advantages
  • Person with knowledge of Automatic test environment will be added value.
  • Proficient in written and spoken English, good interpersonal skills, attention to details, and experience with customer projects.
