Job Description for Tech Lead-People Analytics with Schneider Electric India

Schneider Electric (SE) is the global specialist in energy management and automation. Schneider Digital (SD):  All IT needs for SE are managed by a group called Schneider Digital (SD); spread across 303 locations in 60 countries with over 2300 staff; along with various engagements with all major Global IT Service Providers.

Role:  Tech Lead managing & working on BI project which involves assessment of requirements, OAC RPD design, Data warehousing. Support developers on Data modelling, Reports/dashboard development. Collaborate with different teams and support global cross-functional environment partnering with internal customers to help, support and enhance business systems   

Qualifications & Certifications

  1. Engineering Graduate or Master of Computer Applications (MCA)
  2. Certified in one or more of the following is an advantage – OBIEE, OAC

 

Experience

  1. 7-10 years of BI experience
  2. 5+ years of experience on Informatica, OBI, OAC & SQL (minimum 2-year experience on each of the tool mentioned)
  3. Must have worked on at least 2 complete life cycle implementations of BI projects

 

Required Skills (Must have) along with necessary industry experience

General

 

  1. Experience in any service industry where Oracle BI is extensively used for their global customers with strong customer centric focus.
  2. Total experience of 7-10 years, with excellent communication, coordination, and team leadership skills
  3. Prior experience in handling E2E Product Operations Lifecycle (Ex: ETL/Report, Incident management/Bug-Fix) and E2E Product Engineering lifecycle (ex: Enhancements and Projects with release life cycle experience)
  4. Ability to evaluate technology solution options for business requirements
  5. Should be able to identify opportunities for automation and implement the same to bring in efficiencies
  6. Ability to manage complex stakeholders in a dynamic, matrix organization

Functional

 

  1. Preferably HCM domain and process knowledge or prior experience of any data warehouse/ERP implementation.
  2. Ability to gather requirements and convert business requirements to technical requirements
  3. Providing effort estimations to complex BI projects
  4. Engage with cross teams to analyze data sources required to integrate for a new analytical solution
  5. Maintain and enhance operating rhythm
  6. Experience in managing challenging stakeholders
  7. Ability to validate change requests

Technical :

 

  1. Should have worked extensively in OBIEE RPD development involving time series calculations, YTD measures and configuring security 
  2. Experience on creating projects using Oracle Analytics Cloud depicting visualizations to help understand the data trends and analytics for business users
  3. Worked to build complex reports in OBIEE in a performant way and has good understanding of role security aspects.
  4. Data modelling expertise using STAR and SNOWFLAKE schema design.
  5. Should have worked extensively in OBIEE RPD development involving time series calculations, YTD measures and configuring security 
  6. Experience on creating projects using Oracle Analytics Cloud depicting visualizations to help understand the data trends and analytics for business users
  7. Worked to build complex reports in OBIEE in a performant way and has good understanding of role security aspects.
  8. Should have Strong knowledge of Oracle database & PL/SQL development
  9. Must know how to write advance SQL, use Oracle's SQL aggregate and analytic function
  10. Expert in debugging, optimizing, and Performance Tuning of OAC visualizations, Oracle BI Repository & Dashboards / Reports
  11. Recognize and adopt best practices in reporting and analysis: data integrity, test design, analysis, validation, and documentation.
  12. Understand and design data models to setup robust Datawarehouse environment
  13. Hands on experience in tuning mappings, identifying, and resolving performance bottlenecks in various levels like sources, targets, mappings, and sessions
  14. Monitor and tune the performance of the OBIEE environment

 

 

Essential Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

 

  1. Assessment of business requirements w.r.t. domain processes and technical feasibility
  2. Create design and provide to developer
  3. Support developer in unblocking the roadblocks
  4. Handhold developer to understand the design
  5. Review the test cases
  6. Support delivery of enhancement requests and other operational activities of the project
  7. Up to date communication to stakeholders using JIRA as medium.
  8. Participate in weekly calls with stakeholders to clarify blockers and agree on deliveries
  9. Train and mentor team members and management to understand technologies and assist with development of OAC/OBIEE
  10. Tracking and following up the action items
  11. Ensure all requests are addressed in a timely manner with optimal solution
  12. Simplify – use every opportunity to simplify to the maximum extent possible and go the extra mile in doing so
  13. Collaborate with internal teams to address business needs
  14. Assume personal responsibility for achieving defined outcomes
  15. Effectively plan & organize work to deliver consistent results
