Summary: MSHS is seeking an energetic experienced Application Engineer I that will be responsible for supporting/leading the development and execution of control systems for power generation and propulsion control systems driven by prime movers (steam / gas / hydro turbines and diesel / gas engines).
A main focus of the engineering group is the retrofit and conversion of control systems to Woodward programmable controls, as well as auxiliary control systems be they PLC’s, HMI’s, SCADA, AVR’s, protective relays, power management controls. You will be expected to take a project from conception through design and testing to onsite commissioning and all the necessary documentation on the way.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Automation Control Systems and Instrumentation experience
• PLC / HMI / SCADA programming experience,
• Experience with Woodward control products (would be a plus)
• Programming in C, C++, VB, (would be a plus)
• Proficient with Microsoft Office business software, Word, Excel, Power Point, Visio
• Demonstrated self starting ability with good interpersonal skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills (in English a must, Spanish would be a plus)
• Willing and able to travel, domestically and internationally
Skills & Experience:
• Possess a Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or equivalent
• Possess 0-2 years related experience
• Valid US Driving License
• Valid US Driving License
