Position summary:
This position is responsible for acting as primary technical resource for the sales team while assisting with pre- and post- sales activities for commercial, municipal, industrial and residential building systems and equipment project opportunities to achieve customer satisfaction.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provides technical support and expertise to sales, inside sales, purchasing, service and customers.
- Reviews customer requirements, project, bid, RFQ specifications, sourcing requirements and application information to determine the best solution(s) for the project.
- Prepares job quotations including list of products and services, pricing, delivery and freight information.
- Builds and maintains relationships with manufacturers, suppliers, engineers, contractors, end users and wholesalers.
- Records in CRM system details of customer interactions or transactions, quotations, inquiries and comments, as well as any actions taken.
- Assists sales and service teams with seminars, customer training and field start-ups as required.
- Attends meetings as required to discuss status of outstanding quotes, pending projects and to ensure jobs are completed on schedule..
- Acts as back-up for the inside sales team during vacations, absences or peak periods.
- Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree (B.S.) in Engineering from a four-year college or university, or one to two years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Computer skills required:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and general internet functionality required.
- Proficiency utilizing Enterprise software preferred (Prophet 21 by Epicor). Training can be provided.
