Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Location: Gainesville, FL

Pay: $16-$20/hr DOE

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM-6:00 PM

Job Type: Temp-to-hire

Job Summary:

We are seeking a Maintenance Technician to support daily maintenance operations at a residential apartment community in Gainesville, FL. This position is responsible for assisting with work orders, apartment turns, general repairs, property upkeep, and resident maintenance needs.

Responsibilities:

* Complete apartment maintenance work orders as assigned

* Assist with apartment turns, make-ready tasks, and unit preparation

* Perform basic repairs in apartment units, common areas, and exterior property areas

* Assist with basic plumbing, electrical, appliance, carpentry, painting, and general maintenance tasks

* Help maintain the appearance, cleanliness, and safety of the property

* Communicate professionally with residents, office staff, vendors, and property leadership

* Follow company procedures, safety expectations, and maintenance standards

* Use hand tools, power tools, and equipment safely and properly

* Report larger maintenance issues, safety concerns, or needed repairs to property leadership

Requirements:

* Prior apartment maintenance, property maintenance, facilities, handyman, or general maintenance experience preferred

* Basic knowledge of tools and general repair work

* Positive attitude and professional demeanor

* Reliable work history and strong work ethic

* Coachable and willing to follow company processes

* Ability to perform physical maintenance work throughout the property

* Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, carry, and work indoors/outdoors as needed

* HVAC/EPA certification is a plus, but requirement is pending client confirmation

Dress Code / PPE:

* Maintenance attire may include khakis, black pants, dark wash jeans, or knee-length shorts, along with company logo wear as directed by the client. Closed-toed athletic shoes or boots are required. Steel toe is not required. Additional task-specific PPE may be required depending on the work being performed.
