Apartment Maintenance Lead- Village Green

Village Green, located in Elizabethtown, PA, a High Associates residential community, is seeking an experienced maintenance technician to join their team as a Lead Maintenance person. The Lead Maintenance Technician reports directly to the Property Manager, as well as interfaces with the Regional Manager and Regional Facilities Manager. He/She is responsible for ensuring that the physical aspect of apartment community meets company’s standards and applicable laws in the areas of inspection, maintenance and repair.  In this role you will directly supervise on-site maintenance staff and leads team in diagnosis and repair in areas such as HVAC, electrical, plumbing, pool, carpentry, dry walling, exterior structural and appliance.

Starting at $22.00/hour and can increase based on experience!

This is a Monday-Friday position working 7:30am-4:30PM.

On-call every 3rd week including weekends.


  • Oversees all aspects of maintenance for Village Green an 192 unit residential property
  • May work on the Pool
  • May snow plow
  • Responsible for participating in the on-call rotation. 
  • Establish and adhere to a preventative maintenance program for all property equipment and apartment systems.
  • Works with the property manager to schedule and complete make-ready work for all vacant units.
  • Directs workers engaged in grounds maintenance, facilities maintenance, and general cleaning duties. Participating where necessary.
  • Manages all maintenance material inventory including tools, equipment, and supplies. Constantly evaluating ways to reduce costs and find best value pricing.
  • Regularly checks in on vacant units to ensure that they are secure and in good order.
  • Works with property manager and maintenance staff to review and coordinate work orders. Inspects completed work to ensure accuracy.
  • Responsible for helping to ensure the safety of all co-workers and guest by reporting any safety concerns to the property manager immediately.  


Important Areas of Expertise:

  • Certificate or degree from a mechanical related program preferred.
  • Experience with commercial plumbing, preferred
  • A minimum 3-5 years related experience preferred.
  • Software skills and knowledge preferred: MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and property management software.
  • Exceptional communication skills, strong interpersonal relationship abilities.
  • The ability to multitask and remain highly organized are a must.
  • Valid PA driver's license and clean driving record required
