Position Title: Apartment / Facilities Maintenance Technician

Location: Lafayette, IN & West Lafayette, IN

Pay Rate: $18.00/hour (starting)

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM

Position Overview:

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Maintenance Technician to support daily operations across multiple apartment communities in Lafayette and West Lafayette. This hands-on role is responsible for maintaining the overall condition, safety, and appearance of the properties. The ideal candidate is dependable, self-motivated, and takes pride in delivering quality work.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on apartments and common areas (including basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC filters, painting, and drywall patching)

• Complete work orders in a timely and professional manner

• Respond to maintenance emergencies as needed

• Conduct preventative maintenance to ensure equipment and systems function properly

• Maintain grounds and outdoor areas, including trash removal and minor landscaping tasks

• Assist with apartment turnovers including cleaning, patching, and prepping units for new residents

• Communicate effectively with property management and tenants

• Travel between properties in Lafayette and West Lafayette as required

Requirements:

• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

• Clean criminal background

• Basic knowledge of apartment maintenance or general trades (electrical, plumbing, carpentry, etc.)

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical labor

• Good communication and problem-solving skills

• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous maintenance or apartment facilities experience

• HVAC certification is a plus but not required
