Position Overview

• Position: A&P Mechanic with Inspection Authorization (IA)

• Openings: Two (2)

• Employment Type: Direct Hire / Full-Time

• Compensation: $40–$50 per hour (dependent on experience)

• Schedule: Monday–Friday, approximately 7:30 a.m.–4:00 p.m.

• Typical Hours: 40–50 hours per week

• Location: North-Central Florida (Relocation assistance available)

• Work Environment: Aircraft maintenance hangar (not climate-controlled)

Note: Opportunities for additional training and certifications with immediate pay increases tied to specific credentials are offered, along with annual performance and compensation reviews.

Required Credentials & Experience

• Active FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Certificate

• Active FAA Inspection Authorization (IA) (Required; QC inspector, RII, military, or lead mechanic experience cannot substitute for an active FAA IA)

• Experience: Minimum of 5 years in general aviation maintenance (10+ years strongly preferred)

• Core Competencies: Proven expertise in inspection, troubleshooting, documentation, and return-to-service protocols

Desired Aircraft & Maintenance Experience

The strongest candidates will have broad experience across piston, turboprop, and light-jet platforms. Candidates do not need experience with every aircraft listed, but we favor mechanics who have worked across multiple makes, models, and engine platforms.

• Relevant Platforms:

  • Piston: Cessna, Beechcraft, Piper, Cirrus, Diamond

  • Turboprop: King Air, Pilatus

  • Light Jet: Citation, Learjet, Hawker, Embraer

• Scope of Work:

  • Complete-aircraft general aviation maintenance

  • Annual, 100-hour, phase, and progressive inspections

  • Heavy and line maintenance, plus airframe and engine troubleshooting

  • Piston, turboprop, and turbine engine experience

  • Electrical and hydraulic system diagnosis

  • Flight-control inspection and rigging

  • Sheet-metal and structural repairs

  • Airworthiness determinations and FAA-compliant logbook entries

  • Reviewing, approving, and signing off on major repairs, alterations, and returns to service

> Background Fit: Corporate and general aviation experience is strongly preferred. Military aviation backgrounds are highly welcomed, provided the candidate has transitioned into civilian GA and holds both A&P and IA credentials. Airline/commercial candidates will be considered if they demonstrate high versatility and hands-on troubleshooting across smaller aircraft.
