Job Overview:

Summit Santa Clara has several open positions for AOI Operator.  The AOI Operator under general supervision performs a variety of repetitive machine and manual operations in the areas of AOI verification and related circuit rework to ensure quality of circuit patterns on panels. Operate AOI and verification machines requiring moderate complex setups, constant monitoring, and close visual inspection of panels processed. May perform manual operations including precision circuit rework.   

Qualifications:  To perform this job successfully, it is preferred an individual to have a minimum of one (1) year experience in the printed circuit industry and must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactory.  Although a trainee will be considered if appropriate qualifications. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. 


  • To operate all AOI and supporting equipment.
  • To evaluate and discontinue processing of non-conforming product and report it to the AOI Supervisor.
  • To follow production control scheduling.
  • To maximize productivity.
  • Review and sign travelers.


  • To log non-conforming product on the NCMR report when product does not conform to customer specification.
  • To rework defect as needed per applicable specifications. 

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to sit and/or stand for long periods of time.
  • Must be able to lift up to 20 lbs. 

Job Requirements:

  • Ability to effectively follow company systems and procedures.
  • Must be able to work with little supervision. 

Training Requirements: 

  • Training will be provided onsite by department supervisor or appointee.
