This position is for a Systems Security Engineer with some background in the area of Anti-Tamper (AT) and the protection of Critical Program Information (CPI).

In this position, the engineer will work closely with the System Security Team and Anti-Tamper Lead Engineer where they will develop their skillset in a broad number of security and Anti-Tamper areas as they grow their level of responsibility over time. This person will work on a very exciting and well-funded program while being continuously mentored by an AT Subject Matter Expert (SME). In this position, the selected engineer will build upon their solid foundation in Systems Engineering by adding skills specific to protection of capability elements that contribute to the warfighters technical advantage.

This role is deeply rooted in good Systems Engineering principles and practices. As a member of the Systems Security Engineering Team, you will provide support to the AT lead engineer; performing the following:

- Work as a member of the development team to create and mature system security solutions and designs, to include requirements development, trade studies, implementation and maturation of security features, and associated documentation. These solutions are required to protect sensitive information also known as Critical Program Information (CPI).
- Contribute to required customer deliverables such as the Program Protection Implementation Plan (PPIP), the Anti-Tamper Plan, the Key Management Plan, and the related Verification and Evaluation Plans and Procedures.
- Contribute to the creation of Tamper Trajectory documentation, sometimes referred to as Attack Trees.
- Perform System functionality definition including system states and modes, and system security design features.
- Communicate / coordinate with AT lead and security team as required.
- Participate in internal and external working groups, technical interchange meetings and program milestone reviews.
- Execute mitigation activities to address subsystem technical and programmatic risks.
- Interface with security implementation team to communicate requirements and overall security strategy.

Basic Qualifications

- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field or equivalent experience
- Familiarity with the Systems Engineering process and its application to program life cycle
- 1-3 years of experience in the fields of Systems Engineering
- Ability to think critically to find optimal approaches to difficult design issues.
- Experience delivering written / oral presentations in a professional environment.
- Technical writing skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Desired skills

- Some experience in the field or Anti-Tamper
- Knowledge of System Security related governance, e.g., Technical Implementation Guide (TIG), Horizontal Protection Guide (HPG)
- Threat and Vulnerability Analysis from a reverse engineering perspective.
- Understanding of NSA-approved cryptographic standards and methods.
- Knowledge of DOORS and requirements development / decomposition
- Familiarity with Agile methods and execution
- Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools (e.g., Cameo, IBM Rational Rhapsody) to develop sequence, activity, use case and/or state machine diagrams
- Software and/or FPGA development experience with DoD embedded systems

Ability to work remotely

Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedule Information

Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Security Clearance Information

This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Pay Rate:
In compliance with Colorado’s Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the annual base salary range for this position is $74,900 - $124,900 . Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and business considerations when extending an offer.
