This position is responsible for organizing and maintain lab equipment. Including validation, Qualification, routine maintenance, and Computer System Validation activities. Successful candidate will manage calibration, and metrology activities for Analytical Services Group, include installation of new and existing equipment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform equipment calibrations for analytical testing equipment.
  • Manage equipment vendors (OEM) service visits and review OEM documents for compliance with internal procedures.
  • Extract and combine data to generate standard reports.
  • Develop testing standards and procedures under the direction of professional colleagues for calibration and maintenance activities
  • Produce accurate reports for others by collecting data from a variety of standard sources and inputting it into standard formats.


REQUIREMENTS

  • Completed bachelor’s degree in STEM field, preferred OR associate’s degree in STEM field with proven hands on equipment repair experience, minimum 3 years.
  • Sound experience and understanding of straightforward procedures or systems.
  • Basic experience of coordinating the work of others.
  • Works without supervision and provides technical guidance when required on analyzing data trends for use in reports to help guide decision making.
  • Supports business processes without supervision by understanding and effectively using standard office equipment and standard software packages, while providing technical guidance as needed.
  • Works under guidance (but not constant supervision) to acquire, organize, protect, and process data to fulfill business objectives.
  • Works without supervision and provides technical guidance when required on creating relevant, lucid, and effective reports.
  • Uses clear and effective verbal communications skills without supervision and provides technical guidance when required on expressing ideas, requesting actions, and formulating plans or policies.
  • Works with guidance (but not constant supervision) to achieve full compliance with applicable rules and regulations in management and/or operations.
  • Applies understanding of the business environment and objectives to develop solutions without supervision, while also providing technical assistance when necessary.
  • Works with guidance (but not constant supervision) to plan, organize, prioritize, and oversee activities to efficiently ensure equipment is calibrated and operational at all times.
  • Troubleshooting of analytical equipment and working with vendors to schedule repairs and qualification activities.
  • Extensive understanding of IOPQ rules and procedures. ​
