Responsibilities:
- Provide timely analyses to support the screening/feasibility programs in R&D. Assays include HPLC and GC testing as well as physical chemical measurements.
- Involved in development and evaluation of analytical methods for drug substances and aerosols testing used in various development programs.
- Provide accurate, written documentation of all analytical work, including detailed observations and conclusions.
- Independently operate, maintain and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation.
Skills required:
- Experience in quantitative HPLC and GC analyses of small molecule drugs in a pharmaceutical research and development setting.
- Well-organized, capable of multi-tasking, and able to collaborate with individuals in a matrix environment.
- Excellent data analysis skills with attention to detail and interpretation of results.
- Excellent written, oral communication skills, and experience with computer software such as WORD, EXCEL, etc.
Education and experience:
- B.S. / M.S. Analytical Chemistry or related field
- Minimum 3 years analytical development experience in a pharmaceutical research and/or development setting
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Potentially prolonged periods standing
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
- Must be willing to travel
