Job Description

Responsibilities:

• Provide timely analyses to support the screening/feasibility programs in R&D. Assays include HPLC and GC testing as well as physical chemical measurements.
• Involved in development and evaluation of analytical methods for drug substances and aerosols testing used in various development programs.
• Provide accurate, written documentation of all analytical work, including detailed observations and conclusions.
• Independently operate, maintain and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation.

Skills required:

• Experience in quantitative HPLC and GC analyses of small molecule drugs in a pharmaceutical research and development setting.
• Well-organized, capable of multi-tasking, and able to collaborate with individuals in a matrix environment.
• Excellent data analysis skills with attention to detail and interpretation of results.
• Excellent written, oral communication skills, and experience with computer software such as WORD, EXCEL, etc.

Education and experience:

• B.S. / M.S. Analytical Chemistry or related field
• Minimum 3 years analytical development experience in a pharmaceutical research and/or development setting

Physical Requirements

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
• Potentially prolonged periods standing
• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
• Must be willing to travel
