Required:
- At least two years’ experience with wet chemistry and analytical instrumentation
How you will impact Ingevity:
- Contribute positively to Safety-minded culture by using Good Laboratory Practices and understanding chemical hygiene principles.
- Perform routine analysis to support product research and development efforts using wet chemistry and analytical instrumentation.
- Perform routine analysis to support global manufacturing facilities.
- Perform routine calibrations and verifications on laboratory equipment and analytical instrumentation to ensure uninterrupted analytical capability.
- Troubleshoot laboratory equipment and analytical instrumentation as needed.
- Contribute to quality management system through compliance with laboratory ISO/IATF requirements.
- Participate in process improvement events.
- Contribute to the success of small project teams.
What you will need to succeed:
- Bachelor’s degree in a physical science-based discipline is preferred or minimum 2 years of wet chemistry and analytical instrumentation experience will be considered in lieu of degree.
- Knowledge of Good Laboratory Practices and chemical hygiene principals.
- Heightened safety awareness.
- Experience with laboratory equipment and analytical instrumentation operation, maintenance, calibration/verification, and troubleshooting.
- Strong computer skills including experience with instrumentation and database software.
- High standards for data integrity and reporting.
- Time management skills to organize tasks and optimize testing efficiency.
- Experience with Quality Management Systems (ISO preferred).
- Effective communication skills to listen and respond to internal customers, and to contribute positively to small project teams
- Effective interpersonal skills, treating others within diverse teams with honesty and respect.
