This position will connect to data sources and perform statistical analysis of the data.  The analysis will be summarized and presented to requesting parties in a manner that allows the requestor to take appropriate improvement action.  These can be higher level or deep-dive analyses or set standard periodic analysis of dumped data for continuous review of improvement and sustainment of CCM systems.


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Follows the organization’s EH&S policies, procedures, and mandatory instructions; to identify and mitigate risks, and to safeguard the environment and the wellbeing of oneself and others.
  • Develops knowledge and understanding of the organization’s policies and procedures and of relevant regulatory codes and codes of conduct to ensure own work adheres to those standards.
  • Edits user defined programs and processes.
  • Audits data queries for analysis.
  • Troubleshoots inconsistencies within data integrations.
  • Defines, designs, develops, and implements computer applications and solutions that are functional and satisfy both management and end-users, optimize the efficiency of an organization, and are suitable for the organization's workflow and production, using modeling, information engineering, and cost-based accounting.
  • Identifies, transforms, and incorporates inbound data from operations, sales, internet, and public databases.
  • Utilizes statistical methods and/or codes machine learning algorithms to train prediction models.
  • Specializes in certain segments of data development, exercises expertise in selected area.
  • Verifies new data sources before they are added to the database.
  • Improves auditing and data quality systems.
  • Provides visualization of data to assist users in seeing opportunities to improve systems and processes
  • Points out system or process problems when noticed and engages the team in problem solving.
  • Facilitates satisfactory communication and resolution of problems
  • Tests and integrates programs.
  • Records procedures and solutions and writes and stores all the documentations of the existing communication and data systems.
  • May develop data pipelines to streamline data gathering process.
  • May build gathering frameworks to collect data before analysis.
  • Pulling/Cleaning/Aggregating Data from various sources to assist in making business decisions
  • Writing Scripts in Python, R, and SQL to automate data pulls
  • Develop Tableau Flows and Dashboards
  • Conduct statistical analysis using:
    • Minitab, R, and other relevant software
    • ANOVA
    • Capability Analysis
    • Process Control
    • Correlation / Regression, General Linear, Logistic, and Other Order Models
    • Non-parametric Analysis
    • Power and Sample Size Specification
  • Communicates and educates data customers about methods used and analytical results to provide insight to business and operational problems.
  • Designs experiments tailored to gain insight to specific operational and/or product challenges. Provides data collection framework, conducts analysis, communicates results, and assists in developing next steps for problem solving.  Provides specific, analytically based, direction for future state and conducts additional data collection and analysis for validation and sustainment of future state.
  • Provides general analytical guidance and support to process engineers and other key organizational stakeholders upon request.
  • Provides training to key stakeholders in the organization on statistical concepts and execution.
  • Designs and conducts analysis of measurement systems (discrete and qualitative) using AIAG standard Gage R&R protocols.
