Job Summary

As part of the PPA Americas Strategic Marketing group, this position manages and analyzes domestic pricing data and other business analytics in support of strategic planning and execution for the Adhesives business segment

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maintain Nordson's pricing system, ensuring pricing data is both current and accurate
  • Be a key contributor to NBS Next initiatives including product segmentation and rationalization
  • Work directly with sales organization to get buy-in for implementation of new pricing initiative opportunities
  • Manage product hierarchy additions and changes
  • Conduct regular segmentation analyses to monitor profitability and to identify recommended price adjustments
  • Assist product managers in the establishment of prices for components/parts
  • Initiate and coordinate information system project requests
  • Plan, coordinate and conduct the analysis and implementation of annual domestic and international price adjustments
  • Develop improvements to existing pricing system in order to streamline procedures and provide more effective support
  • Provide reporting and insight to management to impact and influence decision-making
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key internal customers and manage day-to-day customer needs
  • Provide support and guidance to all Americas offices, particularly those that do not have a dedicated local pricing resource

Education and Experience Requirements

  • 3-5 years of relevant professional experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in business/finance or mathematics

Preferred Skills and Abilities

  • Demonstrated strengths in problem solving and analytics, and capability to drive insight to action
  • Additional language proficiency/fluency is a plus
  • Strong communication skills, both verbally and written
  • Ability to interpret and complete abstract ad-hoc requests
  • Strong customer focus and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects
  • Excellent mathematical and analytical capabilities
  • Knowledge of SAP order entry processes is strongly preferred
  • Strong attention-to-detail skills
  • High level of competence with Microsoft Office suite is essential; SAP and Business Warehouse experience strongly preferred
