The IT Release Management Analyst will report to the Manager of IT Release and Change Management.  In this role, you must have a strong understanding of System Development Life Cycle (SDLC).  You will provide day-to-day monitoring of release and change activities throughout the IT organization, including the I.T. Outsource contractors to ensure compliance to release and change processes are met. 


This position can be filled at any Aerojet Rocketdyne location, and flexwork or remote locations are a possibility.

Essential Job Functions (Including % of Time for Each)

Works under general supervision:


70% - SDLC adherence monitoring of requests across all areas of IT through the service request tracking system


15% - Supports Business Process Readiness review for enterprise project initiatives


10% - Supports Sarbanes Oxley, IT General Computing Control audits and other IT-related audits and reviews as prescribed in the Annual Audit Plan for controls related to change and release management


5% - Change Advisory Board (CAB) administration


Requires a Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate discipline and two (2) years directly related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Background in ITIL with an emphasis in Change and System Development Life Cycle management preferred
  • Ability to perform process optimization
  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment with minimal direction
  • Ability to analyze risk and respond within the confines of compliance
  • Must have good communication and strong customer service skills
  • Knowledge of basic IT terminology
  • Rigorous attention to detail a must
  • Skills must include intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office products

May be required to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance at the appropriate level.  Requires U.S. Citizenship, U.S. Permanent Residency or other status as a U.S. Person.
