Aluminum Forging Press Operator (Aluminum Department)

Job Summary:
Express Employment Professionals is seeking reliable and motivated individuals for Aluminum Forging Press Operator roles in a manufacturing environment. This position is responsible for operating forging press equipment, supporting production processes, and ensuring quality and efficiency standards are met. The ideal candidate will be safety-focused, mechanically inclined, and able to work in a fast-paced industrial setting.
Shift:
Must be flexible to work any shift, including occasional weekends
Key Responsibilities:
-Operate and support forging press machinery in the aluminum department
-Follow schedules and directions provided by the Forging Supervisor
-Monitor production and utilize STAIN system for tracking and labeling processes
-Perform visual inspections of parts during production
-Complete machine setup according to setup sheets and specifications
-Maintain cleanliness of machines and surrounding work area
-Coordinate with forklift drivers for movement of billets and forged parts
-Perform additional tasks such as loading/unloading ovens, trimming, buffing, and blasting (after training)
-Complete required quality checks and submit documentation to the Quality department
-Communicate machine performance and production trends to supervisor
-Follow ISO9001 quality standards and company procedures
Qualifications:
-Basic knowledge of mechanical forging and production processes
-Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and team members
-Flexibility to work various shifts and occasional weekends
-Manufacturing or industrial experience preferred
Skills:
-Mechanical drawing: Basic knowledge
-Measurement tools: Ability to use independently
-PLC programming: Basic knowledge preferred
Physical Requirements:
-Ability to stand for extended periods
-Frequent use of hands, tools, and machinery
-Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and push/pull up to 120 lbs
-Repetitive motion, reaching, and handling materials
Work Environment:
-Industrial manufacturing setting
-Moderate to loud noise levels
-Exposure to heat, cold, and dust
-Safety-focused workplace
