PDS Tech Commercial is hiring an experienced Aircraft Systems Integration Engineer to support a major aerospace and defense aircraft modernization program in Oklahoma City, OK.

This is an excellent opportunity for a systems-focused engineer with broad aircraft systems knowledge who enjoys solving complex technical problems, developing actionable plans, and coordinating solutions across multiple engineering disciplines.

Position Details

Location: Oklahoma City, OK

Schedule: 1st Shift, 7:00 AM–4:30 PM, 9/80 schedule

Contract: 12 months

Pay: $60.00–$79.00/hour

Travel: Some domestic travel may be required

Clearance: Ability to obtain a Secret Security Clearance

What You'll Do

As part of an Aircraft Integration Office (AIO) supporting a major aircraft modernization program, you will work across engineering teams to identify technical challenges, organize issues, develop resolution plans, and support successful integration of new technology into an established aircraft platform.

Responsibilities include:

  • Apply systems engineering principles throughout the product lifecycle
  • Evaluate customer and operational needs and translate them into system requirements
  • Develop plans to resolve complex aircraft integration and technical issues
  • Coordinate technical activities across multiple engineering disciplines
  • Analyze system performance, architecture, interfaces, and integration requirements
  • Support requirements management, risk management, issue resolution, and technology readiness activities
  • Ensure compatibility across physical, functional, and program interfaces
  • Evaluate reliability, maintainability, testability, safety, system security, and other system-level considerations
  • Identify technical risks and support development of corrective action plans
  • Provide organization and structure to complex engineering problems
  • Communicate technical plans and solutions effectively across engineering teams and leadership
  • Resolve cross-functional technical issues affecting program execution

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree with typically 5+ years of engineering experience, Master's degree with typically 3+ years of engineering experience, or PhD with relevant engineering experience
  • Experience with systems engineering processes
  • Strong general knowledge of aircraft systems
  • Experience planning technical tasks and developing resolution plans
  • Ability to organize and drive complex technical issues toward resolution
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate across multiple engineering disciplines and stakeholder groups
  • Must meet U.S. Person requirements for purposes of Export Compliance
  • Ability to obtain a Secret Security Clearance

Preferred Qualifications

  • Aircraft systems integration experience
  • Aircraft modernization or modification experience
  • Aerospace or defense industry experience
  • Aircraft systems troubleshooting experience
  • Experience with requirements management and system verification
  • Risk, issue, and opportunity management experience
  • Knowledge of aircraft propulsion/engine integration
  • Experience with aircraft electrical, hydraulic, avionics, environmental control, or other major aircraft systems
  • Experience supporting large-scale military or commercial aircraft programs

Pay Details:$60.00 to $79.00 per hour
