PDS Tech Commercial is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Aircraft Safety Equipment Technician to support our client, a leading provider in the aviation maintenance and repair industry. Schedule: 1st Shift | Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
Pay Rate: $22.00–$27.00 per hour (based on experience)
As an Aircraft Safety Equipment Technician, you'll be responsible for the overhaul, repair, inspection, testing, and maintenance of aircraft oxygen masks, oxygen cylinders, fire extinguishers, and other critical aviation safety components. Your expertise will directly contribute to aircraft reliability, regulatory compliance, and passenger and crew safety.
This role offers the opportunity to work with specialized aerospace equipment in a hands-on, technical environment where quality, precision, and safety are paramount.
Overhaul, repair, and maintain aircraft oxygen masks, fire extinguishers, cylinder assemblies, regulators, and related aviation safety equipment.
Perform incoming inspections of equipment and components to ensure serviceability and compliance.
Troubleshoot mechanical issues using maintenance manuals, technical documentation, and OEM specifications.
Conduct pressure testing, flow testing, and functional testing utilizing gauges, meters, and specialized equipment.
Perform hydrostatic testing of oxygen cylinders and related assemblies.
Assemble and torque regulators and components according to manufacturer specifications.
Accurately complete work orders, inspection records, and maintenance documentation.
Follow FAA regulations, company procedures, and quality standards.
Utilize hand tools and testing equipment safely and effectively.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-focused work environment.
Support additional operational and maintenance activities as assigned.
High School Diploma or GED.
Minimum 3–5 years of related mechanical, aviation, maintenance, repair, or technical experience.
Experience using hand tools, measuring devices, and testing equipment.
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, maintenance instructions, and parts diagrams.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Ability to perform repetitive tasks with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
Ability to lift and move up to 60 pounds.
Must be able to pass FAA-required pre-employment drug and alcohol screening.
Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Certification.
Aircraft maintenance, MRO, or aerospace industry experience.
Experience working with high-pressure oxygen systems.
Familiarity with hydrostatic testing procedures.
Previous experience servicing aircraft safety equipment or related pneumatic systems.

Pay Details: $22.00 to $27.00 per hour
