Who You AreAs an Enterprise Sustainment Quality Engineer, you are an experienced professional with a legal, contracts, or quality management background. You have a comprehensive understanding of the FAR and DFARS with extensive aviation maintenance experience including FAA or EMAR Repair Stations. You are very comfortable working without appreciable direction and are skilled at providing specialized guidance on contract terms and conditions, regulations, process development, and other support for the Aeronautics Field Sustainment team.
What You Will Be DoingThis position reports to the Senior Manager, ESQ – Processes, Reporting, and Standardization. In this highly visible and fast paced role, the selected candidate will be responsible for establishing internal procedures, ensuring compliance to policies and regulations, mitigating risk, and partnering with others to obtain positive business results.
In this role, you will:
• Review, negotiate, and provide guidance on subcontract terms and conditions
• Interpret and understand regulations and contract language to ensure compliance, resolve conflicts, address policy and procedure issues
• Identify, develop, and maintain processes, tools, training, and other resources for the benefit of the organization
• Interface internally and externally with Customer, Program Office, LM Program Leadership, and other functional areas at all levels of the organization
• Define, implement, and drive sustainment process architecture standards and requirements to support business process transformation

Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in a related discipline.
• Experience implementing FAA complaint maintenance program.
• Demonstrated knowledge in quality/safety assurance inspections and/or procedural audits for effective compliance with AS-9100, DCMA8210, Federal Aviation Regulations, blueprints, engineering specifications, Department of Defense Policies, Air Force and Naval procedures, and associated regulatory standards and requirements.
• Prior experience building functional roadmaps that define and implement process architecture to shapes decisions to build and deliver war fighter capabilities to customer requirements.
• Ability to develop Flight, Ground & Safety procedures compliant with DCMAI 8210, FAR Part 21, 145 & 65 requirements.
• Minimum 7 years’ experience in aircraft maintenance with knowledge of aircraft systems/structures, modification practices, coatings applications, specifications, and inspection criteria. Specific experience with modification completion and customer closure processes.
• Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) or equivalent, Inspection Authorization (IA) / Airframe and Powerplant license.
Desired skills
• Experience handling fast-paced complex environment, governed by compliance regulations and management of numerous contractual requirements.
• Ability to work toward long-range goals and objectives, independently able to determine and pursue actions necessary to obtain desired results. Must have excellent communication skills and proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Subject Matter Expert in FOD and Tool Control processes and Aircraft Ground operations.
• Blueprint reading and interpretation.
• Fluent MS Word, Excel, Power Point
• Ability to effectively communicate with leadership and peers.

Ability to work remotely
Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedule Information
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
National Pay Statement
Pay Rate:The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Maryland, Washington or Washington DC is $78,500 - $150,400. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays.
(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.

Premium Pay Statement
