Primary Function
The Fuel Systems Aircraft Mechanic III– C-130J is responsible for performing advanced inspection, troubleshooting, repair, and modification of aircraft systems on the C-130J Super Hercules, with a specialty focus in fuel systems maintenance and fuel cell operations. The mechanic supports both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, ensures full compliance with technical data and safety requirements, and contributes to aircraft readiness in a high-tempo operational or depot environment.
Essential Duties
Hydraulic Systems: Actuators, pumps, reservoirs, manifolds, and line routing.
Environmental Control Systems (ECS): Bleed air, air cycle machine components, oxygen systems.
Flight Controls: Cable rigging, control surface adjustments, operational checks.
Landing Gear: Strut servicing, wheels/brakes, extension/retraction systems.
Electrical/Avionics (organizational level): LRU replacements, wiring inspection, connector repair.
