This position is CONTINGENT on contract award. The Aircraft Mechanic II - Avionics / Electrician performs F-15E avionics, electrical, wiring, fiber optic, equipment installation, modification, inspection, troubleshooting, checkout, and documentation supporting TCTO 1F-15E-911 DTM II, FOM-K TCTO 33B4-6-10-502, and related task-order work at Mountain Home AFB, ID or Seymour Johnson AFB, NC. This labor category is Mission Essential.
A sample of duties include, but are not limited to:
- Perform F-15E avionics/electrical modification, installation, troubleshooting, inspection, repair, and documentation of moderate complexity.
- Perform qualified fiber optic cable installation, cleaning, inspection, and testing.
- Perform wiring/harness work, equipment installation, and applicable operational/functional checkouts within assigned scope.
- Interpret and apply approved technical data and use applicable test/calibrated equipment.
- Maintain required maintenance documentation and comply with Tool Control, FOD, ESD, safety, quality, and security requirements.
- May lead complex tasks or serve as an off-shift Lead when designated and qualified.
- Support TDY operations and perform other task-order duties as assigned.
- Demonstrated aircraft maintenance experience consistent with the DOL Aircraft Mechanic II classification is required.
- Aircraft avionics/electrical troubleshooting, wiring, installation, modification, and documentation experience is required.
- Experience using aircraft technical data and applicable electrical/avionics test equipment is required.
- F-15 or comparable fighter-aircraft avionics/electrical experience is preferred.
Licenses & Certification | - Must have a valid state driver's license when required by assignment.
- Must be a U.S. citizen.
- Must possess and maintain a SECRET or interim SECRET security clearance.
- Must satisfy applicable Tier 3 background investigation, CAC, restricted-area badge, and Government system-access requirements.
- Must be able to obtain required flightline/equipment operator authorization when assigned.
- Must complete and maintain all PWS-required site, safety, security, and technical training/certifications applicable to assigned duties.
- Must be willing and able to travel TDY, including potential overseas travel, and obtain required travel documents when applicable.
- Prior to task-order labor start, must possess contractor-provided qualification in fiber optic cable installation, cleaning, inspection, and testing meeting MIL-STD-1678-1D Requirement 1306 and SAE ARP5602 / ARINC 805/807-4 for work IAW TO 1F-15E-2-40JG-14-1; objective qualification evidence is required.

Special Knowledge & Abilities | - Must have working knowledge of aircraft electrical/avionics systems, wiring practices, and related test equipment.
- Must be able to troubleshoot moderate-to-complex avionics/electrical issues.
- Must be able to read and apply technical orders, TCTOs, drawings, workbooks, and other approved technical data.
- Must accurately document maintenance actions in required forms, records, logs, and Government systems.
- Must comply with Tool Control, FOD prevention, ESD, safety, quality, security, and local operating requirements.
- Must support task-order production schedules and work day, swing, or mid shift as required.
