- Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 4:00 PM – 2:42 AM
- Pay Rate: $45.94–$52.09 per hour
- Overtime: Opportunities may be available

As an Aircraft Mechanic, you'll be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, modifying, and inspecting complex aircraft systems on the E-6B fleet. Your expertise will directly contribute to aircraft readiness, operational safety, and mission success. What You'll Do
Aircraft Maintenance & Troubleshooting
- Troubleshoot, repair, and replace aircraft mechanical components and systems.
- Maintain and repair flight controls, engines, hydraulics, pneumatics, fuel systems, and related mechanical assemblies.
- Perform pre-flight, thru-flight, and post-flight inspections.
- Execute scheduled inspections, including 100-hour, phase, periodic, progressive, and isochronal inspections.
- Diagnose malfunctions and restore equipment to operational condition.
Structural & Modification Work
- Perform aircraft structural repairs and modifications.
- Maintain and repair aircraft structures and structural components.
- Utilize sheet metal fabrication and repair techniques.
- Support engineering teams with technical expertise and recommendations.
Electrical & Avionics Support
- Adjust, repair, and replace aircraft wiring systems and electrical accessories.
- Assemble, modify, and install wire bundles, conductors, and electrical components.
- Apply knowledge of electrical theory to troubleshoot and repair aircraft systems.
- Use specialized tools such as crimpers, wire strippers, cutters, and heat shrink equipment.
Technical Documentation & Compliance
- Read and interpret maintenance manuals, service bulletins, engineering data, schematics, wiring diagrams, blueprints, and technical drawings.
- Accurately document maintenance activities in aircraft logs and maintenance records.
- Ensure compliance with all maintenance procedures, quality standards, and safety requirements.
Technical Leadership
- Provide guidance and technical support to junior mechanics and technicians.
- Assist in resolving complex maintenance challenges.
- Share expertise during aircraft modifications and major maintenance activities.
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
Minimum of 10 years of relevant aircraft avionics and maintenance experience.
Extensive knowledge of aircraft mechanical troubleshooting, repair procedures, and component replacement.
Experience reading and interpreting technical manuals, schematics, wiring diagrams, blueprints, and engineering documentation.
Proficiency with aircraft maintenance tools and testing equipment, including:- Torque wrenches
- Dial indicators
- Micrometers
- Cable tensiometers
- Sheet metal brakes and shears
- Electrical hand tools and test equipment
Ability to work in a maintenance environment during assigned hours.
Ability to wear respirators and required safety equipment.
Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in physically demanding conditions.
Ability to adapt to changing work locations and operational requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
- FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) License.
- Experience with E-6B and/or Boeing 707 aircraft.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret DoD Clearance.
Per Diem Information
- Per diem is available for qualified candidates residing more than 50 miles from the work location.
- Rates are paid in accordance with current GSA guidelines for Lake Charles, Louisiana.
- Expenses must be submitted through the approved customer expense reporting system.
