Description


The Agronomy Customer Service Representative provides the location customer service and clerical assistance by performing the following duties.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.


  • Projects a positive attitude and image to customers and employees.
  • Provides outstanding and courteous customer service.
  • Read and follow company employee policies.
  • Writes, types or enters information into computer system to prepare correspondence, receipts, contracts, checks, billing documents, inventory support, and customer information.
  • Weigh incoming and outgoing loads.
  • Prepares daily bank deposit in accordance with Superior Ag policies. This includes checking daily receipts against actual cash, and entering deposit correctly in Superior Ag's computer system.
  • Responsible for the handling of mail.  Stamps, sorts, and distributes mail. Prepares items for courier service.
  • Answers telephone, conveys messages, and runs errands.
  • Keeps the office and work area clean.
  • Makes occasional deliveries of branch location products.
  • Receives customer orders and relays those orders for distribution.
  • Make sure all deliveries to customers are properly invoiced to the customer's account.
  • Produces month-end and year-end reports from Superior Ag’s computer system.
  • Keeps the assigned supervisor informed of operational, customer, vendors, or employee issues that may arise.
  • Performs additional tasks that may be required.

Education and/or Experience

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and/or one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.



Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.  Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.


Mathematical Skills

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.



Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.  Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.



To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Accounting software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.
