Turn Your Mechanical Experience into a John Deere Certification

Do you have 3+ years of mechanical experience and want to advance your career with the industry leader in agricultural equipment?

AKRS Equipment is seeking experienced mechanics to join our 12-month Technician Apprentice Program (FastTrack). This company-paid development program is designed to help skilled mechanics become John Deere Certified Technicians through hands-on experience, classroom instruction, mentorship, and John Deere certifications.

This is not an entry-level apprenticeship. We’re looking for mechanics with a solid mechanical foundation who are ready to develop specialized expertise in John Deere equipment.

What You'll Do:

• Work alongside experienced John Deere Certified Technicians
• Perform diagnostics testing and repair John Deere equipment
• Participate in monthly technical training
• Learn John Deere Service Center software
• Develop advanced troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
• Complete John Deere certification courses
• Build the confidence and technical knowledge to become a Certified John Deere Technician

What You Bring:

• 3+ years of mechanical experience
• Experience repairing diesel, heavy equipment, agricultural, construction, truck, automotive, or similar equipment
• Working knowledge of:
  • Diesel and gasoline engines
  • Hydraulic systems
  • Powertrain systems
  • Electrical diagnostics
  • Air conditioning systems
• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn
• Excellent problem-solving skills
