What You Will Do

As an Aftermarket & Sustainment Engineering Repair Engineering Intern at Pratt & Whitney, you will......

Part of a multi-discipline Integrated Product Team [IPT] to establish repair requirements and ensure repairs are safe, durable, and meet the quality requirements of the Original Engineering Manufactured (OEM) parts.
The internship will be in one of the following disciplines, Repair Design, Repair Structures, or Repair Project Engineer. Placement will be based on business need and candidate qualifications.
Repair Design role establishes repair design requirements, meeting all standard work requirements, and delivering the finalize repair back to the original requestor.
Repair Structures Engineers are responsible for the structural assessments of repair tasks.
Repair Project Engineering oversees all active repair tasks to ensure they meet Customer Requirements of cost, schedule, and worked to the appropriate priority to support the fleet.

What You Will Learn

Our intern program seeks to help you develop an understanding of the aerospace industry and learn about our company and its operations.

Qualifications You Must Have

Must be pursuing a Bachelor’s or Advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering and actively enrolled through completion of the internship session.
Must have a minimum of 60 hours of credit by the start of the internship session.
Minimum 3.0 Cumulative GPA

Experience may be obtained through on-the-job experience, research, coursework, or projects.

Qualifications We Prefer

Experience using computer aided design (CAD) software, ANSYS/FEA, or scheduling software for tracking task progress.
Experience collaborating with a team to develop innovative ideas
Experience communicating clear and effective messages to a broad audience
Prior RTX internship, co-op, or work experience.

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.

As part of our commitment to maintaining a secure hiring process, candidates may be asked to attend select steps of the interview process in-person at one of our office locations, regardless of whether the role is designated as on-site, hybrid or remote.

The salary range for this role is 37,000 USD - 82,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
