The Pratt & Whitney Aftermarket Systems Engineering team is a worldwide organization hyper-focused on the needs of our commercial airline customers and driving profitability. As P&W engines fly, engine data is transmitted to us and processed through our Advanced Diagnostic Engine Management (ADEM) system. We evaluate the system performance of the engine both on-wing and off-wing enabled by data science techniques to allow for efficient fleet management for the commercial aftermarket and customer support teams. Our group also develops and maintains cross-program functional tools & methods utilized by the internal P&W field / production / overhaul teams. We decrease analysis tool fragmentation and ensure field learning is proliferate into earlier engine design phases.

The Aftermarket Systems Engineering team is looking for an Analytics Engineer who will focus on engineering enabled decision making tools and methods to optimize the business. The candidate will work along-side other groups within engineering inclusive of the Engine Design & Systems Integration (EDSI) and aftermarket organizations developing analytics.

Key Responsibilities:

Development of tools & analytics that enable smart engine workscoping

Maintaining & creating analytics / dashboards to manage the as flown commercial fleet

Enabling automation of engineering in the Interval Cost Estimator (ICE) tool

Aiding field support and other EDSI organizations with big data tool sets

Engage in process changes through CORE and the leadership operating model

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics)

Python proficiency with some object-oriented programming knowledge

Applied experience working with large datasets and using SQL

US Person Status or US Citizenship due to government contracts.

Preferred Qualifications

Familiarity with data science

The candidate should have an understanding and/or eagerness to learn with respect to other engine systems including mechanical, vibration dynamics, externals, and controls.

Degree in a quantitative discipline (e.g., Statistics, Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering) or equivalent practical experience.

Demonstrated leadership and self-direction. Willingness to both teach others and learn new techniques.

Effective written and verbal communication skills.

What is my role type?

In addition to transforming the future of flight, we are also transforming how and where we work. We’ve introduced role types to help you understand how you will operate in our blended work environment. This role is:

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.

Hybrid: Employees who are working in Hybrid roles will work regularly both onsite and offsite. This means that responsibilities of the job need to be performed onsite on a regular basis.

Remote: Employees who are working in Remote roles will work primarily offsite (from home).

Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee’s personal responsibility.

Requires theoretical knowledge typically obtained through University Degree. Limited to some knowledge of RTX organization.

Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and less than 2 years prior relevant experience.Engineering/Other Technical Positions:

Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by

local laws/regulations.
