Aerospace Tool Builder

Macomb, MI | Day Shift | Direct Hire | Up to $38+/hour

Express Employment Professionals is recruiting an experienced Tool Builder / Toolmaker for a direct-hire opportunity with an established aerospace manufacturer in Macomb, MI.

This is a hands-on tooling position for someone with strong manual machining experience who can take a job from blueprint through finished tooling. You'll build, assemble, modify and repair jigs, fixtures, forms, templates and other tooling used in aerospace manufacturing.

What You'll Do:

• Build, assemble, modify and repair jigs, fixtures and precision tooling
• Set up and operate Bridgeport mills, lathes, surface grinders and other manual machining equipment
• Work from blueprints, drawings and GD&T
• Machine, fit and finish tooling components to specification
• Use micrometers, calipers and other precision measuring equipment
• Work independently on tooling projects from start to finish

What We're Looking For:

• 5+ years of tool building, toolmaking, machining or related manufacturing experience
• Strong manual machining skills, including Bridgeport experience
• Experience building jigs, fixtures, tooling or similar equipment
• Strong blueprint reading and precision measurement skills
• Ability to complete tooling projects with minimal assistance
• Aerospace tooling experience is preferred, but not required
• Must have basic personal tools

Schedule & Compensation:

• Day shift, approximately 6:00-7:00am start
• Average 50-55 hours per week
• Up to $38+/hour based on experience
• Direct-hire position
