Job Overview:

Nelson Engineering is seeking an experienced Aerospace TIG Welder/Supervisor.

We are an established aerospace manufacturing company seeking a dependable, experienced TIG welder/Supervisor to manage & lead our weld dept.

Our work schedule is a 4 day/10 hr. work week. Opportunity for overtime is available as needed to support mfg. needs.

**Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

**

  • Ability to weld sheet stock, tubing, machined details and castings in a variety of aerospace materials and thicknesses
  • Prioritize & schedule jobs
  • Train & mentor others in a team environment
  • Maintain constant, acceptable levels of dept. quality and performance
  • Maintain a clean organized work area
  • Work in a team environment supporting other departments
  • Support internal/external audits

**Qualifications:

**

  • Strong work ethic, ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 5 years of aerospace TIG welding experience required
  • Minimum 2 years of leadership experience required
  • Must have a thorough understanding of AWS D17.1 Fusion Welding and NADCAP requirements
  • Knowledge of AWS D17.2 Resistance Weld (spot & seam weld) preferred
  • Experience using a turntable or positioner & purge welding.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
