Job Overview:

**Position Overview

**

The Aerospace Technician performs multiple functions to expedite processes and enhance the flow of the plant. Key areas of responsibility include grinding, deburring, part marking, and assistance with large part assembly. This role is crucial in maintaining efficiency and quality in our aerospace manufacturing processes.

**Key Responsibilities

**

  • Perform grinding and deburring operations on aerospace components

  • Conduct part marking according to specifications

  • Assist with large part assembly processes

  • Utilize blueprints, calipers, micrometers, and pneumatic tools in daily operations

  • Identify and report potential issues early to enable effective corrective actions

  • Participate in root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives

  • Collaborate effectively with team members to meet production goals

**Required Qualifications

**

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred (not mandatory)

  • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude or prior experience in roles requiring blueprint reading and use of precision measurement tools

  • Basic PC skills, including proficiency in keyboard use

  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written

  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and meet deadlines

  • Problem-solving skills and ability to participate in group problem-solving situations

**Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in aerospace or related manufacturing industry

  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles

  • Experience with quality control processes in a manufacturing environment
