Aerospace Supply Chain Deputy Director

The Rapid Solutions Innovative Aerospace organization has won several national level programs to build multi-function RF ISR systems in air and space utilizing our legacy surface-mount technology (SMT).  The supply chain function supports this expanding production and is growing significantly requiring the procurement of CLASS B and C components from many suppliers.  
This position is for an experienced supply chain professional to execute the planning, sourcing, procurement and receipt of commercial components to support producing multi-function radio frequency systems.  The selected individual will act as the Deputy Supply Chain Director helping to execute all aspects of the supply chain function of this $100M  business.   Duties will include reviewing engineering requirements, sourcing these requirements, maintaining communications and relations with critical suppliers, assisting with the assessment of assessing vendor proposals and working with mission assurance to assure the parts meet the required specifications. Your work will make a difference to national security by building the next generation of tactical ISR systems.    

•    Leverage an understanding of the Global Supply Chain, contracts, purchasing, manufacturing, and mission assurance areas and how they impact the delivery of materials
•    Coordinate cross-functionally to ensure that commitments are met and to establish a successful supply chain
•    Develop and implement improvements to address any programmatic risks related to the supply chain
•    Communicate metrics and cost to the program management office
•    Lead supply chain program execution to ensure timely and organized material and production flow
•    Demonstrate end-to-end supply chain competency in production planning, sourcing, purchasing, supplier relationship management, logistics, inventory, operations, analytics and collaborate with mission/quality assurance, engineering, and the program management office
•    Develop and lead continuous improvement strategies
•    Establish performance metrics to measure and evaluate factors affecting the supply chain
•    Oversee supply chain process from sourcing through production in the machine shop, electromechanical lab, and SMT lab to final delivery

Job Experience/Skills:
•    Academically credentialed with a minimum of a bachelor’s degree and 5 years of experience in Supply Chain Management or related field
•    5+ years of experience in the aerospace industry
•    Past or Active Clearance with DoD or the IC
•    Experience in implementing and maintaining an AS9100D or ISO 9001 environment
•    Experience with MRP Systems
•    A passion for National Security
•    Ability to think critically and ask the right questions
•    Experience with aerospace mission assurance.
•    Experience with EEE parts, selection, screening and qualifications processes and procedures. 
•    Multi-tasking, attention to detail, critical decision making
•    Ability to read CAD and develop parts and Bill of Material take-offs.
•    Understand IPC requirements
•    The ability to work in an agile environment that allows for rapid prototyping and the ability to meet aggressive timelines
•    Passion for leading continuous improvement/lean six sigma
•    Possess strong analytical and organizational skills

Clearance: This position may require the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance
