Job Description 
 

The Aerospace Product Development Analyst identifies, evaluates, proposes, and coordinates Jet Parts Engineering new product offerings. These products are identified through customer requests, independent research, industry knowledge, collaboration with manufacturers, reviewing of technical documents, etc. The Aerospace Product Development Analyst communicates regularly with airline and MRO customers and with all JPE internal departments to ensure the success of new products.


Core Responsibilities (Includes but is not limited to)

  • Identify new FAA PMA development opportunities for JPE using customer information and independent research.
  • Analyze consumption data and other project information to select new project candidates.
  • Conduct research using aerospace maintenance manuals and industry information.
  • Coordinate with the JPE sales team and customers to establish project marketability and long-term value.
  • Evaluate project manufacturability to assess economic viability.
  • Plan and prepare business cases for the New Development team and executive members of the company.
  • Compile and present product proposals, schedule hearings, take notes and send out recaps.
  • Create and maintain Customer Relationships Management entries for projects.
  • Gather monthly team updates, callouts, ATW's and targets.
  • Create PMA part numbers in Quantum after ATW, moving entries to WIP status
  • Contribute ideas for the strategic growth of the company.
  • Occasional travel (10%) to domestic and international customers.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Experience and Skills

  1.  Detail oriented with strong analytical reasoning required.
  2. Must have excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
  3. Ability to multi-task and work on multiple projects and opportunities with competing deadlines
  4. Ability to understand technical information.
  5. Strong Microsoft Office skills required, with an emphasis on MS Excel.
  6. Preferred Background:
    • Aviation operations, aircraft maintenance, aerospace and/or engineering
    • Knowledge of manufacturing processes
    • Familiarity with aerospace maintenance manuals

 Education

 Four-year degree highly favored
