Summary/Objective
*The position of Fabrication Manager is responsible for overseeing all tasks related to the fabrication processes, assign work, and supervise employees.

• Essential Functions
1. Responsible for monitoring production output and assigning jobs to employees.
2. Ensures jobs stay on schedule, within budget and to customers specifications.
3. Knows how to use various types of welding methods and able to train employees as needed.
4. Hires and trains new employees.
5. Will need to weld, bump and bend material as needed.
6. May be responsible for welding matrix and any required certification paperwork.
7. Ensures the Fabrication shop is kept clean and orderly.
8. Performs other duties and responsibilities as required or requested.

2. Knows difference in materials and methods used.
3. Knows how to operate a saw
4. Able to read and work to blueprints
5. Work in a fast-paced environment
6. Able to run jobs to timelines.
7. Can MIG and TIG Weld Aluminum and Steel.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment can be loud.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Hours of work are Monday through Friday with shifts that could be 8, 9, 10 or 11 hours and 6:00a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Saturday if needed.

Required Education and Experience
High School diploma or equivalent
Completion of certificate program in welding from college or technical school.
Preferred Education and Experience
1. Industry experience; 10 years plus experience welding in the Aerospace industry.
2. Experience welding Steel, aluminum, and/or lnvar 36
3. Experience with MIG and/or TIG welding required.
4. Experience with overhead crane and hi-lo
5. Must be able to read and understand blueprints
6. Knowledge of geometric tolerances desired
