Applied Composites is seeking an Aerospace Demold Technician who is responsible for the surface preparation of all masters and molds to be used to laminate pre-preg composite parts, to load and unload autoclaves, and to remove parts from the molds.

Job Accountabilities:
- Follow Quality documents such as the Traveler, Build Manual and work instruction to operate the autoclaves or oven recipe to specifications
- Prepare masters and molds in compliance to Engineering data and associated quality requirements and product Safety Data Sheets
- Demold parts from tools and ready the part for inspection
- Alert the Lead or Manager of nonconforming parts after cure cycle has completed and/or after demolding the part
- Book your labor and materials used according to company policy using internal computer systems
- Keep the area in which you work clean and safe
- Use the appropriate PPE when working with seal and release agents in the tool preparation area
- Undertake work within the capabilities you are certified to or as directed by your manager
- Work to be done in compliance with Government, Customer and Regulatory Bodies
- Read and follow basic instructions and diagrams in English
- Use basic shop math skills to record information such as freezer out-time, or mixture weights
- Follow standard shop practices and quality standards in the aerospace industry
- Prepare molds using shop-approved release agents
- Occasionally mix resins and catalysts as specified
- Trim laminated fabric using scissors or knives without damaging the layup mold
- Perform physical and environmental checks and document work for manufacturing travelers
- Vacuum bag parts applying best practices, ensuring that the vacuum bags do not leak during cure
- Regular, consistent, and punctual attendance is required. May need to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s), and additional hours as necessary.

Job Specifications:
Education: A Secondary Certificate/High School Diploma or equivalent combination of relevant education and work experience that will allow successful performance of job expectations
Years’ Experience: 0-2 years of relevant work experience
Skills:
- Ability to use a variety of manual and power tools
- Ability to do accurate work at a rapid pace
- Requires reading and writing skills
- Follow detailed instructions.
- Shop level math skills
- Familiar with standard shop practices used in the aerospace industry
- Ability to handle multiple projects and to work alongside peers
- Dependable and accountable with strong attendance, time management skills, and a consistent work ethic
- Ability to manage time to get work completed on schedule
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment performing accurate and quality products
Shift: 11:30PM - 8:00AM, Monday - Friday
*must be able to train on 1st shift (7:30AM - 4:00PM, Monday - Friday) for at least 90 days.
