We are currently hiring experienced CNC Milling Machinists and VTL Machinists to support aerospace component overhaul, repair, and rework operations in Berlin, CT.
These positions involve machining and restoring aircraft engine and turbine components using advanced CNC milling machines and Vertical Turning Lathes (VTLs) in a high-precision aerospace manufacturing environment.
This opportunity is ideal for machinists with aerospace overhaul, repair-station, or tight-tolerance machining experience who are looking for long-term growth in a clean, technology-driven operation.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC milling machines or VTL equipment for aerospace applications
- Perform overhaul, restoration, and rework machining on aircraft engine and turbine components
- Machine parts to precise dimensions and blueprint specifications
- Interpret aerospace drawings, repair documentation, and GD&T requirements
- Adjust tooling, offsets, fixtures, and machining parameters as needed
- Troubleshoot machining, tooling, and fixturing issues to maintain production efficiency
- Perform in-process inspections using precision measuring instruments
- Maintain setup sheets, inspection documentation, and production records
- Follow all aerospace quality, safety, and manufacturing procedures
Qualifications
Minimum 3 years of CNC machining experience in an aerospace manufacturing environment
At least 1 year of setup and operation experience on:- 4-axis / 5-axis CNC milling machines or
- CNC Vertical Turning Lathes (VTLs)
Ability to read and interpret aerospace blueprints and GD&T
Strong understanding of tight-tolerance machining and aerospace materials
Fanuc controls experience preferred
High school diploma or GED required
Technical school or machining certifications preferred
Preferred Experience
- Aerospace overhaul or repair-station experience
- Experience with turbine engine component repair and restoration
- CAD/CAM or Mastercam knowledge
- Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement experience
- Strong troubleshooting and process optimization skills
