We are seeking an experienced Overhaul CNC Machinist to support aerospace component repair and restoration operations at our Berlin, CT facility. In this role, you will machine, rework, and restore aircraft engine and turbine components to exact specifications using advanced 4–5 axis CNC milling machines or Vertical Turning Lathes (VTLs).
This position is an excellent opportunity for machinists with aerospace overhaul, repair station, or component restoration experience who enjoy precision machining, complex setups, and tight-tolerance work.
Perform machining, repair, and overhaul operations on aerospace and turbine engine components
Restore worn or damaged parts to engineering specifications and required dimensions
Set up and operate 4–5 axis CNC milling machines or VTL equipment
Edit and optimize machining programs using Mastercam or similar CAD/CAM software
Read and interpret engineering drawings, repair procedures, and GD&T requirements
Troubleshoot machining, tooling, fixturing, and setup issues to ensure quality and efficiency
Maintain accurate setup documentation, inspection records, and production paperwork
Verify dimensional accuracy and adherence to aerospace quality standards
Minimum 3 years of CNC machining experience in an aerospace manufacturing environment
At least 1 year of hands-on experience setting up and operating 4–5 axis CNC mills or VTL machines
Experience with Fanuc controls is preferred
Ability to read and interpret complex aerospace drawings, repair manuals, and GD&T specifications
Strong knowledge of aerospace materials, cutting tools, machining processes, and tight-tolerance manufacturing
High School Diploma or GED required
Technical school training, apprenticeship, or machining certifications are a plus
Aerospace overhaul, repair station, or component rework experience
CAM programming experience with Mastercam or similar software
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement principles
Ability to optimize machine setups, improve cycle times, and increase productivity
Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality
