We are seeking an experienced Overhaul CNC Machinist to join our aerospace repair and manufacturing operation in Berlin, CT. This position is responsible for machining, repairing, and restoring aircraft engine and turbine components to precise customer and engineering specifications using advanced 4- and 5-axis CNC milling machines or Vertical Turning Lathes (VTLs).

Perform precision machining, overhaul, and repair operations on aerospace and turbine engine components
Restore worn or damaged components to original engineering specifications
Set up and operate 4- and 5-axis CNC milling machines or Vertical Turning Lathes (VTLs)
Edit and optimize CNC programs using Mastercam or similar CAD/CAM software
Read and interpret aerospace blueprints, repair documentation, and GD&T requirements
Troubleshoot machining, tooling, fixturing, and setup issues
Perform in-process inspections to verify dimensional accuracy and quality
Maintain setup sheets, inspection reports, and machining documentation
Follow all aerospace quality standards, safety procedures, and manufacturing processes
Required:
Minimum 3 years of CNC machining experience in an aerospace manufacturing or repair environment
At least 2 years of CNC mill or VTL setup and operation experience
Experience operating 4- or 5-axis CNC machines
Ability to read and interpret complex aerospace blueprints and GD&T specifications
Strong knowledge of aerospace machining practices, cutting tools, and tight-tolerance manufacturing
High School Diploma or GED
Preferred:
Experience with Fanuc controls
Mastercam or similar CAD/CAM programming experience
Aerospace overhaul, repair station, or component restoration experience
Technical school, apprenticeship, or machining certifications
Lean Manufacturing or continuous improvement experience
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality
