We're seeking an experienced CNC Milling Machinist to join a growing aerospace manufacturing team in Westfield, MA. This is a full-time, direct-hire opportunity on 1st shift offering competitive pay, excellent benefits, and long-term career stability.
The ideal candidate will have experience setting up and operating CNC milling machines, producing precision components, and performing inspections to ensure parts meet strict quality standards.
Set up and operate CNC milling machines.
Read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, and operation sheets.
Perform first-piece, in-process, and final inspections.
Inspect finished parts using micrometers, calipers, indicators, and other precision measuring instruments.
Set tooling, enter offsets, and make machine adjustments as needed.
Troubleshoot machining, tooling, and production issues to maintain quality and efficiency.
Operate multiple CNC milling machines when required.
Complete production, quality, and inspection documentation accurately.
Perform routine machine maintenance and maintain a clean, organized work area.
Follow AS9100, ISO 9001, safety, and 6S standards.
Required Qualifications
Minimum of 3 years of CNC milling experience.
Experience performing complete machine setups.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
Experience using precision measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, and indicators.
Strong understanding of machining practices, tooling, speeds, and feeds.
Experience setting tooling and entering machine offsets.
High School Diploma or GED.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Preferred Qualifications
Aerospace manufacturing experience.
Experience with 3-, 4-, or 5-axis CNC milling machines.
Technical school training, apprenticeship, or machining certification.
