The Radar Video Map (RVM) on the NISC IV contract is an Aeronautical Information Team supporting the Federal Aviation Administration. The RVM / Air Traffic Support Team plays a very critical role in the safety of our National Airspace System (NAS).
We are seeking a highly motivated individual to assist the Leidos RVM team as well as the FAA, in creating Aeronautical Charts. These maps include Emergency Obstruction Video Maps (EOVM), Visual Flight Rule Maps (VFR), Minimum Vectoring Altitude maps (MVA), and Position Display maps (PDMs). Candidate should be able to provide digital drafting using Bentley software (Open Cities), data integration skills, and aeronautical information management using ESRI products, in order to create maintain and update the products developed by the FAA's Air Traffic Support Group.
Primary Responsibilities
Continuous learning and updates of Aeronautical Information Systems.
Analyze and produce different types of Aeronautical charts used to assist Air Traffic Control facilities.
Creation of Aeronautical charts using Computed Assisted Drawing and ESRI software.
Analyze Aerial Photography for airport verification and facilities validation.
Interact with FAA ASM team members and FAA Management in the validation of aeronautical maps.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Geography or related discipline from an accredited College or University, and 4 or more years of experience or higher education degree.
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge in Bentley OpenCities Ultimate or Microstation CAD Software
Knowledge in E.S.R.I Geographic Information System
