Position Details

The Aerial Telecom Foreman is responsible for directing aerial telecom construction in the field. The Foreman will support the Lineman and Ground Hand crews in their day to day.

Responsibilities

  • Foreman is an active, hands-on position that leads the day-to-day activities of an aerial telecom construction crew
  • Foreman is responsible for overall site and crew safety and must exhibit and uphold Tilson's safety values
  • Must have a solid working knowledge of all aspects of telecommunications aerial construction including make ready requirements, strand placement, cable placement, lashing, over-lashing, guying and other aerial telecom construction work flows.
  • Must understand and uphold NESC code as well as all local and pole owner requirements
  • Individuals must be able to read prints and have knowledge of the aerial construction process
  • Responsible for safe operation of all aerial bucket trucks and equipment
  • Serve as single point of contact with company crews, customers, inspectors, and vendors performing work in the field

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Strong work ethic and desire to be a leader
  • Must be a clear and effective communicator and have a positive attitude
  • The ability to manage and direct construction crew
  • Valid US Driver's License
  • Able to work in a fast-paced, outside environment
  • The ability to work safely, with or without supervision
  • Ability to operate equipment, including, but not limited to aerial bucket truck, lashing equipment, and other equipment
  • 5+ years experience leading aerial telecom construction crews
  • OSHA 10/30
  • CDL preferred
