Will perform duties as an AEGIS Computer Network Technician (ACNT) providing Computer and Display Systems maintenance support aboard AEGIS Destroyers as a Team Member on the AEGIS Test Team (ATT). Selected applicant will directly work with Government, New Ship Construction, Ship Repair, Various Contractor Organizations, and ships company to provide effective and timely reconciliation of hardware, software, and network challenges and provide training to ships force on the operation and maintenance of new baseline Aegis equipment.

Position requires shift work, brief at-sea periods and periodic travel supporting assessments, fleet emergent requirements and equipment installation events and issues. Travel may be temporary or extended duty travel to locations such as Moorestown NJ, Bath ME, San Diego CA, Norfolk VA, Mayport FL, Pearl Harbor, Everett WA, and Yokosuka Japan.

Basic Qualifications

• Proficient in reading schematics, drawings and using technical documents.
• UNIX-based open architecture experience and its application to the U.S. NAVY Aegis Computing Infrastructure (ACI)
• Experience with testing of fiber optics cables
• Working knowledge of Ethernet LAN technology
• Familiarity with hardware, software, network test equipment used to evaluate and correct operational failures (i.e. fiber optic testers, multimeter's, o-scopes)
• Must be in physical condition to support embarkation on U.S. Navy ship underway for short periods
• Must be able to successfully pass a background investigation and drug test. Additionally, must have the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance (Secret level), which requires US Citizenship

Desired skills

• Experience with the AEGIS Combat Systems as an AEGIS Computer / Display / ACNT technician with a good understanding of any of the following Baselines are beneficial: BL 6.3, 7.1, 7.1R, ACB08, and/or BL9; and/or applicable training in other military services
• Knowledge of, or experience in, other functional equipment areas of the Aegis Weapon System to include UYQ-70 Display equipment, ORTS MK 9 Mod 1 or DTS-1, LAN architecture, routers, CEC, BFTT, COTS-based processing systems used onboard AEGIS Ships or other military UNIX/LINUX based equipment
• Ability to conduct fiber optic light loss measurements and troubleshoot fiber using approved Navy test equipment and procedures. Experience with building and testing fiber optics termini
• Ability to understand LINUX/UNIX based program commands and local area network (LAN) theory
• Good understanding of US Navy preventive and corrective maintenance and proficiency in reading technical documents

Ability to work remotely

Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedule Information

Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Pay Rate:
In compliance with Colorado’s Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the annual base salary range for this position is $48,400 - $80,600 . Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and business considerations when extending an offer.
