Parsons is now hiring an Advanced Structural Engineer with a desire to work on infrastructure projects that change the fabric of our community. We need our Principal Engineers to be versatile, enthusiastic to work in highly flexible, team oriented environment and who have exceptional communication, analytical and management skills. The successful candidate analyzes proposed projects to ensure structural reliability, resource efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

Responsibilities:

  • Capable of leading and executing extensive engineering support efforts for planning, design, construction, and maintenance/sustainment of the physical and natural built environments, and the administrative and mission facilities and infrastructure of the Agency.
  • Possess in-depth Facilities Structural expertise.
  • Comprehensive expertise with facility engineering, studies, and analysis, and management of activities.
  • Capable of working independently or leading teams to solve engineering problems.
  • Has specialized knowledge of design, analysis and review of complex structural systems for missile tracking and communications designed to withstand weapons effects and unique environmental effects, such as earthquake effects.
  • Capable of providing daily supervision and direction to support teams.
  • Perform short-term (90 days or less) Temporary Duty (TDY) CONUS and OCUNUS travel


Qualifications:

  • Must have a current Secret clearance or the ability to obtain one
  • ME/MS degree in Engineering, from an ABET accredited university, with 10 year of relevant experience. No education for experience substitutions.
  • A Professional Engineer (PE) license may be substituted for the ME/MS degree in structural engineering education requirement or three years of relative structural engineering experience.
