Job Overview:
Advanced Rapid Prototype Technician - Troy, Michigan
Contract Position - Hybrid Position
Pay Rate: $31.00 - $50.00 per hour (based on proven work history)
Position Specific Requirements: Major Job Result (MJR) of the Advanced Rapid Prototype Technician: - Utilize shop equipment to make/modify equipment, tooling, jigs, fixtures, compression molds, etc. (CNC Bridgeport, Lathe, MIG/TIG Welding, CNC Programming)
- Guide Team Members from your experience in developing CNC programs for machining, correct welding methods, fixture/jig/mold design
- Design/Build prototype models, patters, bladder lamination tooling
Specific Skills, Knowledge, and Behavioral Characteristics of the Advanced Rapid Prototype Technician: - CNC Programming of 5-Axis milling machines and experience using CAD/CAM software (Fusion 360 or others)
- Ability to understand and operate measurement tools (calipers, dial indicator, etc.)
- Good work ethic, on time arrival to work, not afraid to ask questions if assignment is not understood, and work as part of a Team to complete tasks on time
- Learn, retain, and follow processes, procedures, standards, and best practices
- Powered industrial forklift truck experience is a plus, not required
Related Non-Flexible Requirements of the Advanced Rapid Prototype Technician: - Adhere to and support "5S" workplace organization and safety program practices
- 5-10 years' experience
- Overtime may be required to meet project deadlines, operational demands, or business objectives
- Basic computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook
- Be able to lift 35 pounds several times per shift
