Position Summary - Advanced Production Associate
The Advanced Production Associate supports safe, efficient, and high-quality production in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Advanced Production Associates may be assigned to different lines, machines, or departments based on business needs and are expected to cross-train and flex to other areas as needed.
Key Responsibilities
Perform assigned production tasks safely, accurately, and efficiently, meeting quality and output expectations for the Advanced Associate skill tier.
Safely operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment, as trained and authorized, to move raw materials, finished goods, work-in-process, pallets, and supplies throughout the facility.
Pull, stage, replenish, and deliver materials needed to support production schedules, work orders, shipping activities, and internal customer needs.
Set up, operate, or assist with operation of manufacturing equipment or workstations, following standard work instructions and documented procedures.
Monitor product and process quality, identify defects or irregularities, and take appropriate action to correct or escalate issues.
Complete complex tasks with minimal supervision, using job knowledge to prioritize work and solve routine problems.
Support team goals by assisting peers, sharing job-related knowledge, and flexing to different tasks or areas to cover business or staffing needs.
Consistently follow all safety rules, procedures, and PPE requirements; promptly report unsafe conditions, near-misses, or incidents.
Maintain accurate production counts and basic documentation and communicate effectively with leads and supervisors about status and issues.
Keep work areas clean and organized in accordance with 5S/housekeeping expectations.
Required Skills and Abilities
Meets Advanced Associate tier expectations in:
Ability to read and follow work instructions and basic production paperwork.
Basic math skills and ability to use measurements, gauges, or simple tools as required by the area.
Physically able to stand, walk, bend, and lift/move up to 50 lbs. throughout a 10 shift, and perform repetitive manual tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Willingness to cross-train and work in different departments, on different equipment, and work overtime or adjusted schedules as needed to support production requirements.
