Responsibilities

Advanced Mix Room Operator - 2nd Shift (Union)

Summary:

The Advanced Mix Room Operator is responsible for setting up and operating conventional machines and equipment used to manufacture material to Morgan ISO 9001 quality compliance specifications. Inspect produced product using typical measuring equipment. This position is in a union shop. 

Responsibilities:

• Follow standard operating and safety procedures, use of all appropriate safety guards, PPE and know where all safety controls are located
• Set up and operate machine tools and equipment used in production of Company products.

• Produce monitor and inspect quality of product to Morgan ISO 9001 quality compliance specifications.

• Fill out and maintain all required ISO documents including bar code accuracy.

• Report problems with quality, processes, equipment, or materials to the team lead, supervisor and/or production manager
• Identify area/s for process improvement, cost savings and waste reduction.
• Maintaining a clean and organized work area to facilitate manufacturing functions.
• Must be able to train lower-level skilled employees
• Other job duties may be assigned by a supervisor, team lead or by production manager

Qualifications

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent, able to read, write and comprehend English.
• A minimum of 6 months experience or proven ability to perform the job at this grade level.
• Must be able to perform operations and take measurements, maintain specifications by observing process. operations, able to set up tools and fixtures with supervision.
• Able to ensure the product is defect-free and ready for the next step in the production process.
• Must possess strong basic math skills.
• Attention to detail and accuracy, results driven approach.
• Complete documentation as required to meet Morgan’s ISO 9001 procedures.
• Able to work well with others in a fast-paced environment.
• Must have good communication skills.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift a minimum of 35 pounds.
• Must pass pre-employment drug test and background check to ensure employment eligibility.
• Individual must be a Citizen of the United States, or Permanent resident alien of the United States, or Protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)
