What we need

We are seeking a talented Advanced Electromechanical Engineer or Designer to join our Mobile Robotics team within our Hardware R&D org. In this role you will focus on designing wire harnesses and electromechanical systems for new product development. You will collaborate closely with a team of highly talented electrical, quality, test, manufacturing, and project engineers.

We are a fast-growing team designing mobile robots with a focus on innovation and new product development from concepts to commercialization.

What you’ll do

  • Design and Development: Conceptualize, design, and develop complex electromechanical systems for our mobile robots, with focus on cable design & routing, sensor, motor, and drive selection, and design of electronic housings.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with electrical, controls, manufacturing, and quality engineering teams to ensure seamless integration and product success.
  • Hands-on Engineering: Actively participate in prototyping, building, testing, and iterating on designs.
  • Documentation: Create clear and accurate dimensional drawings per ANSI Y14.5 standards with GD&T. Create and manage Bill of Materials (BOMs) and Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) in PLM.
  • Travel up to 20%.

What you’ll need

  • Preferred technical degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering, or related field with 3+ years of relevant industry experience.
  • Hands-on experience with electromechanical systems.
  • Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks preferred).
  • Demonstrated ability to select and integrate components such as motors, sensors, and actuators.
  • Designing wire harnesses; System capabilities; Automotive, busses, medical devices

Our Environment

  • Up to 20% of travel may be required. Employees must have a valid driver’s license and the ability to drive and/or fly to client and other customer locations.

  • The employee is responsible for owning a credit card and managing expenses personally to be reimbursed on a bi-weekly basis.
