Job Overview:

Position Summary:

    The Insights Data Architect will work as part of the data team to design and develop advanced analytics practices and solutions to get business value out of the organization’s and third-party data. The role will use cloud based data engineering and AI/ML based technologies. This role will work closely with other parts of IT and the business to ensure we can execute on our data opportunities. The role will both work with the business and bring new ideas to the business, leadership, and data practice to realize value in organizational and third party data. The Insights Data Architect will stay up to date on appropriate data technology and business trends.

 

Essential Position Duties:

  • Data engineering, exploration, and analysis
  • Feature engineering and extraction
  • Use of appropriate AI/ML technologies and libraries
  • Operationalize AI/ML models
  • Working with business to understand their data opportunities and challenges
  • Collaborate with data, other parts of IT, and organizational leaders on data monetization opportunities (increase revenue, decrease cost)
  • Educate various audiences on opportunities with data science and AI/ML
  • Conduct research for industry and business questions
  • Prepare data for predictive, and prescriptive modeling
  • Identifying patterns and trends
  • Gathering requirements and doing data gap analysis
  • Create proper visualizations for different audiences
  • Ability to pick up new or evolving tools quickly
  • Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner
  • Additional duties as assigned

 

Education & Experience:

  • 7+ years’ experience with data solutions or data science
  • Bachelor’s degree in informatics, data science, computer science or related degree
  • Experience with manipulating data with SQL, Python, R or related technologies
  • Experience creating data pipelines or working in notebooks
  • Experience with handling multiple projects in time sensitive environment
  • Cloud (Azure) experience a plus
  • Visualization tool experience (e.g. Power BI, Tableau, Python/R libraries)
  • Experience using statistics for analysis

Primary environment: ambient room temperatures, lighting and traditional office equipment as found in a typical office environment.
