Job Description

Summary/Objective 
Identify customer standards and requirements and advance product quality planning in the New Product Development phase, complete parts validation to make sure new program SOP goes smoothly. The position is hiring for Fuyao Glass America - South Carolina Factory in Fountain Inn SC.

Essential Functions

1. Participate in customer drawing and technical specification review and examination, define special customer requirements. 
2. According to the internal control quality standard of customer and the company, establish new product quality standard and the detection and test specification. 
3. Prepare the new product quality target according to customer requirements and company's profit plan. 
4. Prepare a new product quality plan according to the production management level and quality management level of the company. 
5. Make DVP&R, do MSA and SPC study and send PPAP documents to customer for approval.
6. Properly handle any quality problems that occur during new product development and SOP+3 months. 
7. Handling customer complaints and returns of goods during new product development and SOP+3 months. 
8. Establishing new product quality history, summarizing quality problems, and providing improvement suggestions.
9. SOP program CP and inspection standard update.
10. Other duties as assigned by Quality manager.

Supervisory Responsibility

No supervisory responsibility in this position.

Work Environment

1. This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. This position requires approximately half of employee time to be spent on the plant floor and sometimes is will need to go to customer locations.
2. Must be 18 years or older

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or listen. This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand on a stool as necessary. Must be able to distinguish between different colors and shapes of glass. Employees will sometimes need to lift glass of varying sizes and weights.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days of work are Monday through Friday. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

Travel 

Travel is expected for this position.

Required Education and Experience

1. A Bachelor’s degree and one year’s Automotive Quality field quality engineer experience.

Preferred Education and Experience

1. A bachelor’s degree and 2 years’ Automotive Quality field quality engineer experience.
2. A master’s degree and 1 year’s Automotive Quality field quality engineer experience.
