The Advanced Technology & Environmental Communications Lead manages media relations and content creation to position Honda as a technology leader and promote the company’s commitment to reducing its environmental footprint and creating a carbon-free society. This position also supports the company’s corporate social responsibility (CSR) efforts through external storytelling.

At Honda, our associates take pride in their responsibilities. A typical day as an Adv. Technology & Environmental Communications Lead will include:

• Develop and implement media relations strategy for Honda’s advanced technology and environmental activities
  • Produce media materials, including press releases, media pitches, Q&As and messaging documents
  • Conduct media outreach
  • Manage media training and message alignment for SMEs, staff media interviews
  • Collaborate with Product PR on key announcements
• Produce videos and digital content to enhance external storytelling
• Manage NACC tech and environmental media lists
• Support the development and maintenance of NACC corporate messaging documents, including the North American Environmental Report
• Provide CSR communications support as needed

We are looking for qualified people with diverse backgrounds and experiences, open minds, and a disciplined work ethic. To bring the future to Honda as an Adv. Technology & Environmental Communications Lead, you must have: 

• Bachelor’s degree or greater in Communications, PR, Journalism, or related field
• Minimum 5-7 years of Corporate Communications or PR agency experience
• Proven ability to secure positive national media coverage
• Strong proficiency in media relations, social media strategy, tactics, and tools
• Knowledge of digital communications
• Experience with video storytelling and digital content creation
• Superb and demonstrable written and oral communications skills
• Proficiency in MS Office suite, especially PowerPoint
